Buying Foreclosed Homes
This is one of the 'buyer beware' situations that we are often told about. You must do your homework to get an honest bargain. They are out there, but to be sure it's a real bargain, you need someone who knows the market. Finding comparatives on Zillow, Trulia or even the tax rolls is not a true assessment of the value. A Realtor can see the 'true' sold comps of a neighborhood. Once you know the price is right, then you need to inspect the property. It is not unusual for the previous owner to be mad about losing their home and doing some damage.
