This well established neighborhood is located north of the Arboretum area on Highway 183. The Arnold Palmer organization has just purchased the Balcones Country Club and expects to make some improvements in the clubhouse and courses. There are two golf courses in this club. Most of the homes were built in the 70′s and 80′s, so have either been updated, or need to be updated. The neighborhood has several small lakes and lots of Live Oak trees. It is served by the excellent Round Rock ISD. Besides golf, tennis and swimming, the club also offers a fitness club and has a very active women’s organization. Shopping in this part of town is not problem. It is not far from the Lakeline Mall area which is surrounded by most of the national chain stores.
